'87 300E Shifts Rough
 

Hello All,

My '87 300E is having problems with the 2-3 shift. I replaced the modulator, changed fluid and filter, no change. When the trans is cold, it's not bad, but when it warms up, it seems to hold 2nd too long, and abruptly drops or slams into 3rd. The trans has 150k. Any ideas?

Either the pack is worn out or the valvebody is sticking the k2 or 2-3 command valve. With 150k dont be suprised is a rebuild is in order.

Check your manifold valve from the trans. Needs cleaning
