I really appreciate all the help I am receiving. I am in the process of ordering all the parts necessary for a FSS B for a 98 E320(V6). My question concerns the dust filter behind the glove compartment. Do I order two or one of the "Dust Filter 210 830 10 18 $32.43" from PartsShop or does it come with the necessary filters? Or do I need to order the Charcoal filter? I see on the climate control the button that I keep down which I believe is some type of charcoal filter. In addition are these the parts I should order:
Air Filter 604 694 0504 $25.71
Oil Filter 112 180 00 09 $10.49
9 quarts of Mobil 10w30 oil

you need two dust filters, and the charcoal cannister is one large element.

Keep the dust filters and check them out to see how dirty they are,

I keep my power button on at all times, and they where very dirty.

I plan on taking apart the filters in the spring, to see what I can learn....

As Chris said, you need to order 2 dust filters (210 830 10 18). These install behind the glove box.

The charcoal filter (210 830 02 18) is expensive ($194 MB list) but will last 90,000 miles or so. We don't stock it but can special order for you.
