I have done several searches and can't find any info on where to get parts to repair my odometer.....I found a post that I think had a link but the link was no longer avaiable....
Where can I get the small gear I need to repair my ododmeter? I appears to be balck plastic and has a couple of teeth missing.

I would bet that MB is the only place that has these specialized gears. There used to be speedo/magnito shops in my area but they have all closed up. I bet, esp. with the electronic speedos, that the only place to get these parts is at the dealer. I have never seen them advertised in any of the accessory cataloges.

VDO authorized shops carry parts. So look for VDO online or in a phone book. Like this http://www.lspeedo.com/

agood, heres the answer, fix your odometer for $25 plus shipping. If you are talking about the small gear at the end of the shaft, you need to order gear "E1" from this site : http://members.ispwest.com/jkcaplan/gearwebpage/gear.html The guy is amazing, makes the gears himself.

I ended up going to Speedometer Service Co. located here in Atlanta and they rebuilt it for me for a great deal.....Can't wait to get it reinstalled and see how it works.
