w123 Frt Brake Pad Removal

83 300D, W123
Trying to remove the front brake pads and don't want to break anything. Pins are out OK as is the clip and wear indicators. Pads do not want to come out. Should I try to push in the pistons a bit maybe with a screwdriver? Any suggestions or warnings? The job appears pretty easy but I want to be careful. Thanks.

Compressing the pistons back into the calipers is what you want to do ... but do not leverage against the brake disk.

What I do is to use channel lock pliers an compress the edge of the brake pad and the outside of the caliper.

>>>Do one at time <<< to avoid the other side popping out.

Keep us posted,

Haasman
