Hi. I have been driving C class for 3 yrs now and it seems like the battery is running low. I like to know if I should replace it ASAP. Should I have M-benz dealer to do it or should I buy aftermarket batteries out there? How much can I expect to spend if i have the dealer to replace it with new one? Thank you for your advice.

What leads you to believe the "battery is running low". Hard to crank on cold NE mornings??, or what..Have the batt load tested. If is OEM, and 3 years old, you may be looking at the near end of useful life. If it needs replacement, to me that's a crap shoot. There are tons of good batteries out there. Interstate is one of them, and they are reasonably priced..

Interstate is one of the best you can buy. I'd get the MTP93. It is very high amperage.

Thanks both of you for your advice. I will get the Interstate MTP 63. My question is will it fit 1997 C-230 perfectly without any kind of modification?....like rewiring and stuff. My car has a little over 37k mileage. Isn't battry replacement under factory warrenty? I don't know this for sure. Please help. Also, where can i buy MTP 63 and how much can i expect to spend on it? Thank you again.

Expect to spend about $75.00 or so. Actual price will depend on where you buy it. I don't think batteries are covered under new vehicle warranty unless it fails after you drive out of the showroom, but, again, I am not sure about that. No problems with connectors for hookup. Should drop right in, if not a perfect fit, then they will be able to get you an exact replacement. You shouild be able to find interstate distributors in the yellow pages. One place that I know of is Auto Zone.
