500e Strut Evaluation
 

I have a 1993 500e with 105k miles. My stock front struts make no noise and seem to work fine.

I removed the nuts from the top of the strut rod and can depress the rod with little effort.

Is this normal or should they be gas pressurized?

If they are the originals, I don't think it would be a waste of time or money to replace them.
10 years & 100 k miles is quite a bit.
