Question bearing/brake squeal 300E

For the past few weeks i've been hearing a squeal from the front, but upon further investigation it's actually coming from the rear right wheel. There are a few bad bushing back there, but i don't think that would be the noise. It only squeals when i'm coasting, when I accelerate it goes away, also does it when I brake. I've read about faulty hand brakes, to add my hand brake dosn't even work very well, i can thow it on while im driving and won't even grip the discs. But it does semi-work when i park.
Anyone have any suggestions??
Thanks

In regards to the e-brake:
There is an adjustor on the cable. Very easy to do (so long as it is not frozen).
Presuming the mechanism is otherwise ok at the wheels, that may fix your problem. Worked for me!
The e-brake pads can also be adjusted for wear.
If you use the cable adjustment method, you may need to slacken the cable again the next time you service the brakes.

In regards to the squeal:
If I am reading your post correctly, and the squeal goes away when you brake, it may simply be a case of common 'brake squeal'.
Anti-squeal paste on the pad backs may fix you up.

A rear bearing might squeal, though a low 'roar' is more common in the early stages. Also, the noise would likely change in sweeping turns of one direction or another. Look for cupping on the tire treads.

sorry for the unclear post, what i was saying was that the squeal continues when i brake and also squeals when the car is just coasting, only when I accelerate is when the noise goes away. Which leads be to believe when more weight is applied to the back (thrust of acceleration) it puts pressure of something, don't know what though.
Thanks for the feedback csnow

btw, what does cupping mean? Is it some sort of wear pattern?

Well, I suppose it could be a bearing in that case.

That it goes away under 'driven' load may support the bearing theory.

A number of folks have posted with rear bearing failures.

Cupping is where you have 'spots' of wear around the circumference of the tire, as opposed to an even band of wear all around. I have found this to be a common symptom of a bearing that has been dragging for too long.

I imagine the inner edge would be the place to look in this case.

Perhaps you could locate the problem by spinning the wheel with your hands.

I'd say it's your brakes - either the disk pads or the hand-brake shoes are worn. Loading changes under acceleration, which may be why you don't hear it then. Also possible is some road debris has hitched a ride and is rubbing.
