Question about frost plug replacement.

I am replacing a frost plug on my engine and was wondering if there was anything special to use to make sure it seals, or should I just put in a new one dry?

TIA,
Steve

Why don't you put a small bead of silicone around the plug, insert it & wipe off the excess ?
