C280 vs C36 Valve cover

I'm looking at purchasing a used 1995 C280 valve cover to powder coat and replace the worn out cover on my C36.
The question is... will the C280 valve cover fit on my C36?
Thanks.

this may be a very dumb question but how do you wear out a valve cover?

The 1996 & later cars M104 engines all use 104-010-22-30 valve cover.
All C36 engines use that same cover. The 1994-95 C280 doesn't use that part number.

Actually, what I mean is the valve cover is cosmetically worn out. The paint has bubbles all over it and appears to be chipping, probably due to the mixture of heat and oil.

I confirmed this with Mercedes yesterday. You are absolutely right.
