wire harness part number
 

I will ask an independent inspector to look at a 93 300 E that is 1300 miles from me. I want to determine if the wiring harness has been replaced. Can anyone provide the part number of the replacement harness?

That's funny, I am going through a W124 wiring harness job right now at 193,000 on the original. My dealer ordered the wrong one at first because he told me there is some confusion as to the part number on the harness. Maybe MB switched harness' during production and there are two part numbers (?). I am curious too.

The replacement part number is usually the same as the original!
FOR the 1993 300E W124.032 the number is 124-440-56-32.
THERE should be a tag with the part number on the harness behind the battery near the computer connection.
