Well I guess I should try Carriage House then!
2 strikes against them though:
They have a competitor's coffee, vending, and bottled water (must work on that)
Mikes only charges $50.00/Hr. Normally $79.00 (I buy gas there and asked if there's a discount for paying in cash) I can also poke around the car while on the lift, etc.
Both are close-I'll see what happens next time.
Can you pull into Carriage House and ask "what's this sound??"

Right on...its good to get other shop names too and check them out...and the names of the ones not to go to (New Country)...but if you can get a couple good techs (there are some)from there to wrench on the side...you should be fine. I can drop a few names for Hartford area peeps if wanted.

And dropping my name may not get everyone a deeper discount at CH but it will get you first rate customer service found no-where else! I know in the past they shipped stuff for free for other shop guys I turned on to them from around the country. Anyway, they be real good.

So...anymore decent shops to add to this list?
