Window stop short of closing by about 1 inch. How can I fix this?

Window goes up all but 1 inch or so. Why is it doing this. It's my left rear windon on my E420. Just started doing this today.

re: window stops short

Try wd 40 spray into window linkage and motor area before taking things apart. This will sometimes return things to normal (sticking linkage ) good luck. Abe G
