Hey fellas,

I sold the left side rear quarter panel for the W-116 that I had, but still have the right side in my garage. Anyone know (I DO have the receipt) if I can return the right side panel back to the dealer for a refund and/or credit?? I've had the panels since June of last year. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Aaron,

I have returned a part to my dealer one time. I too had the receipt, and the part was a year or two old, new in the still sealed box. They gave me a refund less a restocking charge. The restocking charge seemed to fair given the length of time involved.

Larry,

Thanks for the update! I did call the dealer today and they did in fact inform me that they will take back the fender but that there will be a 15% restocking fee. But you know, that's better than having an unused W-116 fender any day! Oh, for anyone wondering about my lineup, I added a couple of unique cars to the stable this week. I'm into that kind of stuff! I know I know, they're not Mercedes, and I assure you all, there will be another 6.9 in the herd soon enough, but I'm exploring some oddities for the time being.
