I get heat delivered to the passenger side footwell of my 1984 300SD but none to the driver's side footwell. No combination of shutting off vents, changing the heater settings, etc works.

Remove the kick panel on the passenger's side and you'll probably find a broken vacuum flap which is not opening. You will probably feel heat towards the top of the heater box but push in there with your hand and you'll see that there is a bigger door which is probably stuck shut. Repairing it can be big bucks, but in the meantime you can fabricate something to hold the door open until the warmer weather stays for good. P.S.---was almost 70 here in Cincinnati today and is supposed to reach 72 tomorrow!! Yippee!!
