450SL low vacuum
 

On my rebuilt 450SL engine I have poor acceleration and the other symptom is that the vacuum is about half of normal. I am thinking that the problem may be worn camshaft lobes from problems that occurred prior to the rebuild. I get about 18 mpg on the highway but have no snap to the acceleration. Does the worn camshaft lobes sound reasonable to the experts out there??
