Has anyone ever put Auto-Rx in their tranny and/or used "T-Tec" to flush?

Plenty has been discussed in this forum regarding auto-rx in the engine oil....but not really as much with the transmission. It says to add 6oz, then drive 1000-1500 miles and then have it flushed out with a "T-Tec" procedure. I guess this is a machine that actually flushes your transmission via the two lines that run into the radiator. It describes a "manual" way of flushing the tranny, but it looks like a messy pita. Anyone know anything about this "T-Tec" procedure?

A"Normal" MB trans service...

,,,drains almost all the ATF from the system, including the torque convertor. That's the point of the recommendation of the "T-Tec" procedure: most transmission services on many cars & trucks just drop the pan and clean the screen/replace the filter, leaving quite a bit of old ATF in the system. You want to get as much out as you can.

I personally have not used Auto-Rx in my transmissions (yet!) as I just had them serviced recently (<10K miles) and have experienced no problems (Well, the SVX tranny was replaced under warranty 6 years ago, but that's another story...).

If you remember that Auto-Rx is for cleaning, you might also consider investigating a product called LubeGuard (Red) for additional AT lubrication. This is one additive that many feel provides measurable benefits. It is reportedly used extensively in the tranny rebuild industry, and for some time.

It seems lately people have been " singing the praises " for Lucas products.
Their A/T treatment specifically.
Never tried them myself.
