I have a 98 E320. I wish to service it myself and I wanted to reset the FSS but could not find the instructions in the owners manual as stated in earlier posts. Could someone please give me some instructions. Thank you

Look in the rear index of the owner's manual, the fss is in there a couple of times. How to reset is in there......
Key out door closed.
Insert key into ignition and turn on
push button 2 times
turn off ign
push and hold button while turn on ign hold this way for 10 sec.
Do all of this in one quick motion .

I call it push push, off ,pushandhold and on

I have a 98 E430. The owners manual is the same for the E320 & E300 TD. My FSS reset instructions are on page 93 under the Driving section. It took me about 10 attempts to reset the FSS.

On the back of my manual it says:

210 584 10 81 Order No. 6515 1036 13 USA Edition A 1998
