'86 300E - Blower Motor Fuse Blown

I'm reposting this because I didn't get any responses last time - probably just bad timing on my part, as I'm sure that at least one of the service techs must know the answer.

I recently blew the #12 fuse (blower motor) and noticed that the contacts were quite discolored from heat. In researching the posibilities here I found that there was a factory Service Information Letter detailing a modification to use an external fuse holder utilizing a higher amperage fuse. Does anyone know if there is a part number for a mod kit or what individual parts are needed, with part numbers? Are these parts or kit available from the PartsShop or FastLane? Cost? What's involved in installing the mod? Simple and straightforward? Is this a permanent fix for this problem?

Thanks for any help,

Gary
