Stiching failure in a leather steering wheel
 

Has anyone fixed a seam in the leather on in a steering wheel? I have a 97 E320. When we bought it the thread was broken on the left hand side just above the upper connection at the horn. It is getting worse. The break in the thread is right at the corner and the opening in the seam is increasing up the wheel ever so slowly.
