She gone, she gone she gone gone gone!!

Well as a 3 pm today we no longer own the 99 E300.
A local couple along with a friend that is a Mercedes Benz Club of America member, owns a E430 came by today and test drove the car. We settled on a price and went to my credit to handle the paper work. Handed the 2 keys over to them and watched it drive away.
My wife and I decided that with the condition of American
Airlines we should eliminate any debt. We now have a mortgage payment and that is it. Except for the 82 300TD and the 88 560SL parts requirements.

Dave

Congrats or condolences, I'm not sure which. Mine gone too, off to California. Now all we have is a mortgage, and of course parts for the '87 wagon (which needs a few things) and the '93 sedan (which is currently perfect).

My condolences...for BOTH situations!

Half of the dads in my daughter's soccer team work for AA as pilots, mechanics, etc. Nowadays, they all just stand around talking about the latest AA issues instead of watching the game!

One of the dads is a 777 pilot. I believe he got demoted to flying a smaller jet, and he has sold two of his newer vehicles and opted for used ones.

Lots of AA presence in the mid-cities area, and you can look down the street of any neighborhood and see the realtor signs on just about every other house!

Sure hope things pick up soon!

Not much different up in the telecom corridor of Richardson/Plano, really. You should see all the for sale signs. Home prices seem to be steady, but not much is moving.

Anyone want to have a pissing contest? At my employer we've laid off 65% (not a typo) of our employees since spring of 2000. Things are a bit more steady these days, thankfully.
