after putting on new fuel pump my 380se still wont start coil gets so hot you can not tuch it. the littel box that is down by coil also gets warm wier to coil are both have fier is my coil shorted out or what tanks in advance for your help tommy boots or bootsy113@aol.com

You could have a shorted coil, but I have seen more control units fail than coils. You should be able to look in the manual and get a spec on the primary winding resistance. Check it with the coil unplugged.
