1984 500 SEL rear door switches hanging

Result from local indy - see attach pic. Any easy fix?--- just remove and replace panel? At least they fixed the switches so they work now.

Looks like you just need to slip the unit back in, being sure to get all tabs in their proper slots. It likely wasn't fully seated on reassembly and popped out when the door was shut with authority.

There should be at least two tabs on the leading edge of that assembly, can't remember right now what is on the trailing edge.

I agree with Mike on the switch panel - mine pops out periodically when the dogs get too rambunctious trying to look out the windows.

What I also see is that the wood panel has separated from the fiberboard that is behind it. What I did to resolve this was put some wood glue on it, press it into place and then hold it in place with my foot while lying in the back seat. My wife woke me up a hour later when she got home

thanks. I could not see any tabs or slots on the assembly. tried to attach a different pic but was too many bytes. I'll try the wood glue for the panel. Appreciate the info- both of you.
