Car "learning" driving habits

What are the "learning" capabilities of my car in regards to engine management and transmission response based on the driver's driving habits. Specific technical data and specs on the characteristics of this "learning" capability would be appreciated.

Nothing in your car.

The 1997- cars with 722.6 transmissions have a learning ability, but for the tranny only.
