300e Molding fell off, how do I put it back on?

1989 300e, the molding fell off on a couple of sections. I repaired the section on the door by removing the door panel and undoing the plastic clips, it was an act of god. The front section has no access to the clips and I can't get it to stay on by just beating it on . Any advice?

Thanks!

John
