94' E-320 Brake Light

Greetings Fellow MB'ers........

Last week I noticed what I thought was the "Brake Pad" simble on the dash light up.

This morning where driving in the parking garage the "BRAKE" light came on while rounding the turns to the top. It came on a couple of time for a second or two.

This never happened before. The brake pads have 19K on them. They were replaced in 8/99 with 35K miles.

Any idea's???
TIA
DSR

I would check the brake fluid level if the "BRAKE" light came on. Also a system that has too much air in it would cause that light to come on...have you noticed any problems when applying the brakes?

The brake pad wear sensors are indicating that your pads are worn. Mine usually call themselves to attention at just over 15K miles of use.

Not sure what your previous set of pads were, but the OEM pad material is fairly soft and will probably wear relatively fast on a daily driver...

The light in my car comes on after I take it to a car wash. All I do is disconnect the battery for 30 seconds then the light stays off. I wouldn't worry about it until you know that the pads are worn out.
