86 300e W124 Ac Dyi?
Hello,
I have been diagnosed needing and AC Dryer and and AC expansion valve. Is this a DYI Job (I do not consider freon handling within my capability as a DYIer). Many Thanks |
Since you cannot recover, evacuate and recharge, the only savings by you doing it yourself would be the labor for replacing these parts.
If you did it yourself, you would have to take it to the shop for refrigerant recover then take it home, replace the parts, then go BACK to the shop for evacuation and charging. Replacing these two parts is not a big deal so the savings would be minimal. Good luck, |
Thanks Larry!
I am going for a dealer repair on this one. It may cost a bit more, but they charge $30/lb less for the freon than the other reputable AC shops in town. And the MB warranty is sometimes worth it. |
I agree w/ Larry...And besides if anything goes wrong, Of corse it would be the YOUR FAULT and there goes any warranty...Good luck
