Fuel Pressure Regulator Adjust
 

I replaced the fuel filter and cracked lines from the gas tank and when I checked the fuel pressure it had jumped to 41 psi, I was able to bring it down but it took about 7 full turns and now the engine hunts and misses when driven, is this many turns normal my book says a slight turn should change this but I need to turn quite a bit to get it to move, any ideas? What would cause this jump?
