www.************************ is a good place.

It's best to request a catalog as they have many things not shown on the website.

Such a broad open ended question . . .

There are different sources for performance upgrades, appearance upgrades, wheels and tires, in car electronics . . . I don't think one place has a lock on the best deals in all categories.

Hard to find OEM pieces are probably best hunted down on German E-Bay. Just saw a new, old stock, AMG ducktail spoiler for the 124, totally unavailable here in the US, but it sold for under $100.

German E-Bay W124 Search in Automobile

Translation services for either the description or the entire page through babblefish.com, altavista.com, google.com, etc.

Pay via wire transfers via C2it, from Citibank. Flat $10 charge for wire transfer, compared to $20-30 charged by US banks/ savings & loans.

Although seller may state that they only ship within Germany or Europe, if you e-mail them and ask, more times than not you will get a positive response.

Shipping can be prohibitive. FedEX and UPS can cost over $130 for a 7 kilo box. Usually on reasonably sized items, the seller can ship it via German Luftpost.

I purchased illuminated sill plates and an S600 style grill from this company in Germany. I had trouble reading the German website and figuring out how to order, so I e-mailed the guy directly and ordered that way. His english is good.

He is one of only two companies that I am aware of that make this style grill for a 1986-1993 W124:

Here is a guy who has an online shop on German E-bay. I bookmarked his shop, but didn't buy anything.

He has a lot of stuff for W124's:

Click on the British flag for the english online shop.

I think that the dashboard/console in the W124s like my wagon, all black leather, and suginami's pictures were the best looking MB ever made. My opinion.

Thumbs up

Thanks to Paul S for the great parts source suggestions. I'd love to see a pic of your illuminated door sills.

Thanks,

I only have close-up shots of the door sills. The rear door sills are stainless steel. The front sills are also stainless steel, and they also illuminate.

Since I installed these, I have bought another set where the rear sills also illuminate.

Here is a shot of the rear.
