OK -- who's found the best way to remove their switches (window, hazard, antenna, etc.)? Is there a Mercedes tool? I'm looking for the best idea that won't "bung up" the switch or surrounding surfaces (during removal OR install). I'm getting ready to install a 3-piece wood kit in my 1986 2.3-16V and have to remove/reinstall 4 switches. Other hints are most welcome (c'mon Benzmac, give up them secrets :)).

If you turn the switch as if you are turning on or off the consumer. Now use a small flat screw driver to grip the inside of the rocker and gently lift out. Do one side at a time and see if this helps.

I had a preconceived notion about removing the rocker switches. I thought one would have to use a thin blade to pry between the "wing" and console gap. But, from your description, one uses a small screwdriver to pry/lift between the rocker (depressed side) and the "wing", thus never touching the console. To get the other side, do you just depress the rocket to that side and repeat, or can you just grab the lifted side and remove from there? Also, I would imagine the switch is connectorized and removal is an easy deal?
