I could use some assistance please. The last MB I owned was a 1993 300E. I’m looking at a 2000 E430 4 Matic at a MB dealer. The car has 35K miles and appears to be in great condition. Silver with Black interior. It is also loaded, E1, E2 packages, Navigation system, rear sunshade and a Startac phone connection, which I have no use for.

The dealer is asking $42K with the usual one year of additional Starmark warranty. Were there any problems with the 00’s? The price seems a little steep to me. How much maintenance do these require other than regular oil changes?

Regarding the service records, can this dealer access the service records if the car was serviced at another dealer? I would think that they are networked.

All the dealers are networked. If it has been serviced by any MB dealer in the U.S., the records will be in the system.
