How does one determine the color code of interior? Is it on the metal body tag over the radiator? I found the exterior paint code but cannot find clue on the interior. Thanks! What a great forum.

Have the dealer run a VMI. The interior color code is usually a two digit code after the exterior color code. In many cases is the same last two digits as the exterior trim color code.

Anyone on the forum with access to the EPC can run a similar report based on you VIN. Won't have service and recall history.

What is a Mercedes dealer? I keep hearing about all these 'dealers' you guys have in other parts of the country but MT ? thanks for reply.. I have exterior color code from my body tag... I believe it is 172 G exterior is anthracite grey ... interpretation is from http://home.concepts.nl/~vlimmere/index2.htm but it does not address interior codes. My VIN is WDB1260371A056411 if anybody is willing to use their "EPC".

Says color code 172 and trim 254 (date). Engine number 117.963-12-046900.

Thanks Steve ! Does trim mean interior ? ... and if so what does that 254 mean... I think I have palomino or cream but not sure.

254 is date, dattel or palamino, all the same thing, the 2 means its leather, 154 would be MBTex.
