I'd like to remove the built in cellular phone in my 1993 500SEL. The handset assembly seems easy enough as it looks to just be secured by a pair of screws. I'm not sure about the integrated phone undereath the storage compartment in the dashboard, but it has an adhesive flap underneath it and rectangular holes on top, with no screws visible. I'm assuming that there's some sort of tool to insert into those holes to pull the phone out but I haven't tried anything yet. Any advice would be appreciated.

There is a puller for this. There are tabs holding it down. You will need to unplug the amp in the left rear of the trunk.
