Any tricks to changing the hand fuel pump ? I can't find it on the CD !! I have one of the new type from the dealer. It has what looks like and adapter with it. Will I need it. Also I think I read elsewhere it takes a 22 mm wrench( which I do not have yet).
Thanks ------------------ |
DeltaDave,
Once you get past about 17 mm, it's very easy to find an English size wrench that fits well. I won't tell any Germans you did this, if you won't tell them either. Good Luck, ------------------ Larry Bible '84 Euro 240D, 516K miles '88 300E 5 Speed Over 800,000 miles in Mercedes automobiles |
I don't recall any adaptors or such with the new hand pump. Just loosen and unscrew the old one and screw the new one in it's place. Does your new one have a black "bulb" rather than the hollow white one?
