Brrrr its COLD

Climate control blows cold air when car is sitting still, works fine when car is moving. Fan speed also increases. ??????

You're complaining about cold air in the summer? I envy you.

Winter will come again dear grasshopper.

When the thermostat is set on 85 degrees F. thats a problem when its 30 degrees F. outside. What do I look for to fix this? I already cleaned the temp sensor and the temp sensor fan is working. But it only does it when the car is idleing I'm thinking vaccum leak, but where?

Have you thought about moving south?

J.HIDALGO 06-03-2003 08:35 PM

Monovalve?

What year and model?

Very weird things can happen when you're not generating enough juice from the altenator (sp?) for the car's load. How is that electrical system?

As suggested earlier, check the monovalve. Also take a second look at the sampler motor (sensor fan). It may be spinning, but not quite fast enough.

On the 560 the A/C would never slow the fan speed and literally froze me out (and I like it cold). Finally on a whim I replaced the sampler motor and everything works properly. Prior to replacing that motor I had clean and then replaced the temp senor with no improvement in function.

May as well be new.

Its a '92 300E (granny car) that still smells new.

Thanks,I'll check the sampler one more time.

"It's right in front of the battery, can't miss it. Has two coolant hoses attached - one from the fire wall, one from the front of the engine."
