On a 94 S500, the rear pass-side window won't go up. Went down just fine, but when I push the switch, the window just moves up a fraction of an inch and goes no further.
As I said, the switches are getting power to the motor, but the motor doesn't have enough life left in it to push the window up, or???
My first problem is getting the inner door panel off. The plastic clips around the edges are pulled out, but the panel is still attached around the door handle, the flip-open storage compartment, and the door-release handle.
Any suggestions on the panel, and then on motor or regulator problem.

Thanks for any help, the car is basically unusable until this gets fixed.

Thank, I kind of figured it would be the regulator. Any help on getting the inner door panel off so I can get to the regulator?

You need drill the rivets out and you need a big big rivet gun (we call the big daddy)to put reg on,did you know how much the rivet gun cost $180.00 just take it to shop have them replace for you.

Take it back to dealer, and let they do the work. My dealer charged me $220 for it. If as stated above, the "Big gun" costs $180, then it might be more wothy it to let dealer handle the work(and let they have the blame when it fails again, maybe?? :p)...

P.S. Mine failed at the rear, passn side, too....

Thanks for the tip--that's what I will probably do.

Follow-up----
It was a broken regulator (cable in the regulator, specifically) and a local shop charged me $235 for parts and labor. Works like new now.
The interesting thing he told me was that these tend to fail, not from use, but from NOT using them often enough. The window develops a "set" in it's channel, and it just puts too much strain on the regulator when it tries to "break" the window loose.

Thanks again for everyone's help. The lesson learned here is to USE all the stuff in our cars once in a while, the car needs the exercise.
