replacement of vacuum elements for vents

Does one have to remove the dash in order to replace the vacuum elements in a 1988 190E? I know one has to for the 124 chassis.

What chassis? Not for the W126, but fingers like ET's will help a lot.

Vacuum elements in 190E

It is a 201 chassis.
