Help!!! Urgent!!! How To Remove W124 Rear Door Panel?
Is there glue holding it to the door? I can find only a couple screws that would hold it. I took off the plastic thing that surrounds the latch and have removed the ashtray. I have also removed the black thing that is by the handle to open the door.
I am in the middle of doing this right now. I am trying to see if the window motor is getting power because it will not go down. Thank You so much, David |

Is the armrest/handle attached to just the panel except at the top?

Once you get the door handle off ...
- the black lock surround at the end of the door - the door latch off (using a needle nose pliers sometimes helps to lift the little hooked item off the latch mechanism) - and the door lock button off (unscrews) then the interior door panel lifts up and then off. Dont forget the wire to the lower door light, if you have one. Often the panels get stuck at the top in the rubber molding that has a channel to keep it in place. I used a little silicone lube with reassembly to help it seat properly. Haasman

Remember to remove the small plastic finish piece around the door latching mechanism. The arm rest is attached from behind to the inner door panel; undoing the 10mm bolt at the top of the arm rest will allow you to slide the inner door handle forward & disconnect it from the door pull.
