450sl slippage in reverse
 

i have a 1977 450sl. it slips in reverse. forward gears are fine.
i'm told there is an ajustment on the top of the tranny. my question is how much do you turn this ajustment or how much torque?? i'm told if you turn it too tight it will cause the forward gears to lock up.

Does it slip the entire time you are in reverse or is there a delay in engaging in reverse?
