Hello all,
Lovely weekend so i took the Benz on a run did approx 500 miles, but today had trouble starting, where it normally starts instantly
for some reason it is taking 3 or 4 attempts
before it starts all it does is turn over it is a 1993 320CE with 74K miles on the clock.

The overvoltage relay is a common failure on this model. Check part #000-540-52-45 should be replaced by 000-540-67-45.

MB list is $72. It is located in the compartment next to the pass side hood hinge. It is silver with one on two fuses in the top. It is usually the furthest toward the center of the car.

what is the technique in pulling the OV relay out? it is in a very tight spot.

The relay pulls straight up, but can be difficult. Too much strain and the socket will come loose which makes it worse. I forget what year we are taking about. It gets tighter the newer the car and the control units in the way aren't as easy to move. You might want to pull the fuse or fuses (on the top) and make sure that isn't the problem first.
