windshield wipers
 

I have just purchased a 1998 C230. It has 92,000 on it and is in excellent condition with one exception. The windshield wiper will not go on, I've checked the fuses and they are ok. I do alot of repairs and replacement on all my cars and vans, boat, I would like to check and or replace windshield problem if possaible. Anybody out there have any suggestions. I hope so. Thanks

Is this the single wiper?
Is there absolutely no movement or sound? Have you tried giving it a push start?

Buy a shop manual. Haynes sells them fairly cheaply, probably available on Amazon or from Toad Hall Books on the internet.

It sounds like you will need to either replace or lube and change the brushes on the motor. The manual will tell you how to do an r&r on this.
