rough idle when cold start in the morning....

This has happened before, engine has very rough idle, strong smell of raw gasoline and knocking sound. The sound quickly goes away in a few minutes and engine runs normally. However, months may go by without a recurrence........ any clue what this could be??

Engine shakes

Check your EHA and your distributor cap. You may find that the cap is very worn and may have a green chalky buildup inside. The EHA may be leaking which may be your gas smell. Also the ignition wire ends are also known to cause such a problem.

Hint!! Its cheaper to buy the wire set versus the ends but it will take you alot more time fishing the wires back into the loom.

Hope this helps

Melvin
