It has come to a point where there is so much junk refrigerant in mobile a/c systems that the shops now have to buy an expensive refrigerant identifier and use it to prevent contaminating their good, recovered refrigerants. NOW, thanks to so many people using these supposedly miracle working sealants, the shops are now being forced into having to purchase SEALANT identifiers as well.
I'm happy for those who have indeed had success with the sealants, but if you take it to a shop, do them a favor and warn them that the sealant is in there so that they don't ruin their expensive recovery equipment. They have to earn a living like the rest of us. My $0.02, |

I threw In The Towel
Got back from vacation last week, it was HOT! No A/C on my S420. Couldn't justify the big bucks to fix it, with my luck it would just be something else next. I traded it in on a new 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. I am through with used Mercedes, don't like the new ones or the prices, or the repair bills not under warranty.
I take my hat off to you brave folks!

Do you think that the Ford will never need repairs? Nothing lasts forever.
Good luck, |

Nothing is forever
Larry, of course nothing lasts forever. The Ford surely will not, but I have got 3 years of worry free driving to get out of it, after that, the first major repair will send it down the road too!
I don't have the stomach anymore to fool around with the exotics, am am getting too old to roll the dice again. I am going to sorely miss the S.
