Unhappy Crack in dash!

Well.. it started off with a tiny crack by the front speaker grille.. but today i noticed it got longer. Its now about 1 1/4" long. ANyone know how to stop and fix this crack??? What should I do!

Leatherique makes a white crack filler that you mix with your dash color dye to fill the crack. To prevent cracks, avoid temperature swings and solar exposure. Clean and moisturize the dash. In short, just treat it like you would your own skin.

Is this the same material that I hear good stories about making the leather seats like new again? Also... do I have to dye it after filling the crack in? How does this work? Thanks again for the reply.
