Angry A/C manifold tube busted 260E, need advice!!

Guys, I managed to pinpoint the problem to my air conditioning trouble. I have a leak in my A/C compressor manifold tube. The dealer lists it @ $800 and none of the junk yards I called carry the part. I desperately need to fix my A/C since I drive a lot during the hot and humid days.

If anyone has it for sale or knows of one I am seriously willing to talk to you.

Thanks.

Is the part aluminum?

If so you may want to try this route to repair.
Very easy to use... http://www.muggyweld.com/super5.html

Look in the yellow pages!

Take it to a place where they fix hydralic hoses, like aeroquip. They should be able to fix your problem.

How difficult is to remove the A/C manifold hose? Does anyone have any pictures as to what it looks like? I would like to do it myself but I need to know whether I can do it or does it require special tools? My ex-mechanic in California told me that he can get it rebuilt for about $70 and that's way cheaper than paying $800 to dealer.

I really need your help now.

Thanks, Igor.
