1969 280 SE Gas Tank Leak

Does any one know how to repair a gas tank that has a slight leak in the seam...Gas tank looks new and the car shows 65,000 on the speedpmeter..I have heard from motorcycle info that their is a fix for tanks..mix it up and pour it in the tank and position tank with leak on the bottom...Tank has been removed from the car--any help will be appreciated jim
