A/C Blower Switch Question - Curious
I have noticed that MB aircon switches (in the 123,124,126's at least) have an intermediate stop between off (6 o'clock position) and 1 (9 o'clock position). While the air-con is switched of at that position, there seems to be something happening within the console. Anyone has ideas as to the function of this intermediate position?
I am guessing it has a function, similar to the ignition switch position which does not activate anything, but allows the tumbler to be removed. Thanks. kenny |
I believe it switches from recirculate to vent without turning on the blower motor. I have a W126 manual AC switch set and noticed that the vacuum lines are blocked in 0 and open in the intermediate position and the numbered positions.
