Curious as to how many people have successfully replaced potentiometer?

I was wondering if anyone has replaced it, and the replacement fixed the problem. I know of some poeple who replaced it but said it didn't change anything. Jay3000 said that he had ordered one and would post results which he probably has not received it yet or had the time to post. Just wondering, that's all.

Thanks
David

Is that(potentiometer) the rheostat/dimmer switch??

If so, I have done it. No difference in brightness, the 1986 and 1987 300E are known for their dim dashes.

no, I am talking about the piece that is on the side of the air mass sensor. I guess no one has then, or at least that have read this thread.

If you would actually read this thread that I have pointed you to twice previously,
Aiflow meter pot source - Bosch CIS

you would see that sbourg, and Chris Martens have had success several others have also..

Chris actually organized a group buy for 32 of them..

If you search for surges, surging, and surge.. You will find a ggod bit of material for your reading pleasure..
