what readings do I want to have when setting potentiometer
I know I have posted on this subject before and I have done all searches on the subject, but they all lead me to dead ends. I know I need an air mass potetiometer, but I want to know exactly what electrical readings I am looking for afer replacing it(ohms, etc.).
I think that when I removed the POT, I may have not put it on EXACTLY like the other one. I made a pencil mark, (not very good move.) So when the new one goes on, then what? What pins should I test for what? Is that all I have to do is line it up like the old one was and then I am good to go? When people talk about adjusting it, are they talking about how it should be placed or is there a seperate screw or something on those lines? Thanks David |

David, with the pot connected and engine idling, others have posted you should read 0.7V measuring betwen the middle pin and ground. If it is off by more than 0.25 Volts from that, you should incrementally adjust it by rotating the pot.
You might want to consider adding a 'signature' line to your posts mentioning the 300E, considering your user id. Steve

Thanks David
