300E A/C drain
Went to clean the A/C drain on 91 300E using a brush (should have searched this forum which indicated a wire should be inserted to clean out the drain). The problem came when I had the brush inserted to clean the drain and immediately the foam fell apart and a spring came out with the brush. I assume the spring was used to hold the foam in place. Now I have a drain with some foam still lodged around. Is there anyway to remove the last pieces of foam still lodged in the drain?
The drain is located on top near the transmission pan so it is extremely difficlut to remove it. Is there any other way to access the drain and install a new rubber hose. I am now afraid of the consequences (water on the passenger floor or rust problems). Should not have played around with this. Well I guess another lesson learned. |

It is accessed from inside the car behind the tunnel carpetting. Get the new drain hoses first.
