How to fix door? It swings all the way open and closes all the way

Hehe.. I have way too many problems

Anyways the passenger side door is messed up.. It swings all the way open without the 2nd position mode (where it suppose to be held) like all the other doors.. and it closes the same way too..

You probably need to replace the door check on the door. There are spring loaded ball shaped bearings that can fail. Removal involves taking off the interior door panel and unbolting the check, then replace.

Door panel removal

The referenced link is close but not excact, you have to remove the seat switch panel which is held in by a tab and little swivel arms at the rear, I think the procedure is to take a little pice of plastic and rotate them out of their slots. There are screws in the door pockets and behind the seat panel. the panel slides up and off after gently prying the rivets out of the door. There are wires attached, on my 92 the door lock switch, and the light at the bottom. It usually helps to have four hands.
